> Since 1988 Sztuka Fabryka has been the curator and driving force of several international art events //

> The aim of these events was to present an overview of world wide independent creativity, performed in the independent arts & communication networks, and to create a meeting place for exchanging the acquired experiences //

> In 20 years the yearly "Independent Arts"-Festival - as the events were mainly called - has grown towards an internationally known event for any form of creativity / Starting as a small exhibition, the last events (organised by “Hotel Volzet”) attracted visitors & artists from all over the world / The “Amaze”-event in 2008 was the last one in a serie of yearly events hold in Belgium //

> The events mainly focused on artistic activities performed in scenes such as mail-art, street art, small press, … / On top of that did get video, performance, home-tape musicians and fine art artists also the possibility to exhibit and perform their creativity / The interaction between artists and visitors was an important part of the events, as such the "Independent Arts"-Festival were unique in its kind //
